Dani Koenig: New head of music.
Radio 105, RMC and Rock Nation gains celebrity recruitment: The overall management of the music section of Radio 105, Radio Monte Carlo Swiss as well as Rock Nation will immediately be taken over by the renown Swiss DJ Dani Koenig. As stated in the memorandum his DJ quota will be drastically reduced for the benefit of his new career. Thanks to Koenig`s national and international music and DJ expertise and connections the broadcastings director, Giuseppe Scaglione, hopes to further expand the broadcasting group.

Review's "Hard Southamericans"

Mixmag

Chunky house with low-slung Loco Dice remix. There's been no shortage of Loco Dice tunes and remixes this year, and I reckon this is one of his best. The original is almost tribal, with wispy fx, some nice latin percussion and a rocking acid line that comes in halfway through. But it's the Dice remix that I can't enough of: it's so lazy it's almost falling over, but at the same time it's subtly hypnotic. And then it heads in a different direction and goes all jazz-tastic towards the end.

A true game of two halves, 'Hard South Americans' rides with smooth, swaying pads that lull you into a soft sense of security before a filth ridden acid hook sweeps in and wipes you off your feet. And for the fashionista pussies who can't handle a bit of dirt, flip for Loco Dice's stripped down re-rub.

M8
Another unknown artist from Four:twenty, in recent months we've had tg and b-pole and now Dani Koenig. Dani hails from Switzerland and in his native country and germany plays alongside all the uber cools DJs, Luciano, Locodice, Steve Bug etc but this is his first 12" release althohgh you wouldn't know it. Hard South Americans at first is deep warm tribal house music which builds into a headbanger of an acid house track, its as good to listen to at home as it is to play in the clubs. If that's not enough the flip has been remixed by man of the moment Locodice making this package irrisistable. This is different class from dice and his partner Martin Butrich, in comes a disco house beat, a phat bassline and a whole lot of cool, this is lounging house music DC10 style and as most Dice productions this is one for the ladies. Proper F**king House Music.

Dani Koenig's new release "Hard Southamericans" on Four:twenty UK.
A deep warm, tribal, acid house from Dani's original and a lounging, jazzy, deep discoesque remix from Loco Dice. A beautiful package that is already in the record boxes (or should that be cd wallets) of Josh Wink, David Duriez, D'Julz, Clive Henry, Argy, Will Saul, Kiki, James Zabiela...
